Accidentally stumbling on that particular pre-order has been the highlight of my year so far. I couldn't get my debit card out fast enough.

 

Am I correct in assuming yours also came with the actual LP's outside of the inner sleeves? If so, what kind of condition is it in?

 

Found these at my local shops digger den last week. Didn’t pick them up. I can go back and see if they’re still there if someone wants me to.

Yeah, mine came outside the sleeve and jacket which I thought was a bit weird. Usually they just do it outside the jacket but in the sleeve to prevent the seams from breaking on the jacket. I haven't spun the record yet (out of pure laziness) but visually it looked to be in good shape

 

So I'll be a bit misplaced from my usual RSD location at Bullmoose in Portsmouth, NH. Im gonna be in Cambridge/Somverville area instead and I really have never been to any record shops there. So does anyone in here knows the area or what shops I should check out?Any recommendations help! Only thing I'm really looking for tomorrow is the Basement 7" btw.

 

I must find Hockey Dad's Dreamin EP tomorrow. I doubt I'll find it.

 

Thrice EP and Julien Baker 7” for me. Rough Trade NYC opens at 9 am, so I may get there just before 7.

 

I'm getting a little anxious about tomorrow. My local store is opening at 7am, so I'm debating whether I want to get up before 6 on a Saturday so I can go stand in line, or if I want to risk showing up after they open, at which point there may still be a line anyway.

 

LOL man you guys have it easy. When I used to do RSD back in 2012 and 2013 a few of my friends and I would get to the record store by 8pm Friday night and camp out. Store would open at 8am Saturday and by 5am the line would already have over 150 people in it. So basically if you snoozed you lose. Learned that the hard way my first year when I got there at 6:30am and didnt get into the actual store until 1pm and obviously got nothing I wanted. Over the last five years though RSD lost it's appeal and fun and I would rather just go to bed Friday night and sleep in Saturday morning and just buy whatever I want on ebay for double the price. As I hit my mid 30s that seemed more pleasable lol. Good luck tomorrow everyone!!

 

There's really nothing on the RSD list I've seen that I'm excited about. There's that Robyn Body Talk vinyl that would be cool to have (but it's coming out again later on on black vinyl, and it'll most likely be a lot cheaper), and there's a dumb TMNT 7" that might be funny to own, ha. But I think the Julien Baker 7" is the only one that I'd really care about snagging tomorrow, and I just don't see myself waiting in line all morning just for that. But we'll see... I've got some birthday money to blow, haha.

 

The only record store around me that participated in RSD closed down last summer.

This event is basically dead to me now, sigh. Oh well, there wasn't much I was looking forward to this time around.

 

give me the 1989 original TMNT soundtrack on vinyl and I'll wait in line for 12 hours lol

 

The best stores have their own RSD rituals and open at a more normal time like 11 lol

 

I'd think about going even earlier.

 

When would you think? Get there by 6?
