Other corners may make more splashes, but this is the best pure cover guy in the draft. Chiefs are happy to stay put at 29 and still cleanly address their biggest need.

This pick would have been OL but the weird run on OL at the middle of this round leaves nothing that wouldn’t be a huge stretch. Unable to address their 2 biggest needs without reaching (ILB and OL), GB takes BPA and, without any glaring holes, has the luxury to let him recover this year

Also, you basically said in that trade that Cameron Brate is worth a third rounder based on the points between your pick and TBs. Brate could’ve been had for a 5th or 6th haha. If I was you I’d have at least added another later pick to that deal because as it stands my offer was better!

Even though Houston already drafted Lindstrom, who I think is a day one starter, offensive line is still their biggest need. And I really wanted to double dip to give Watson some extra protection. But then I realized Fant was still available and couldn’t resist. I can’t recall the Texans ever having a TE quite like Fant. Extremely athletic pass catcher. He has the skills to be an elite threat in the passing game and take what is already, at-times, a lethal offense to the next level. I love the value with this pick.

I think ideally what I would want Miami to do would be to trade back from 13 to the mid 20s and pick up another 2019 2nd

grab best OLineman in 20s (Bradbury, Dillard, Risner, etc)
grab an EDGE like Winovich in the 2nd
grab a safety like Thornhill or CGJ with the other 2nd

Chiefs select Jachai Polite, EDGE, Florida

He fell because he tested poorly but it was reported he had hamstring issues during the Combine. I myself cannot believe 4.84 is an accurate 40’ time for one of the most agile speed rushers in the draft.

While tape can be misleading, so can athletic measurements. No matter how he tested, Polite’s tape shows a first round talent.

The Chiefs lost Justin Houston AND Dee Ford. Jeremiah Attaochu is the only pass rusher I recognize on the roster. Getting a quality edge threat is possibly even more important for KC than the corner I just drafted. It works because imo Polite is much better suited as a 3-4 OLB than a 4-3 DE.
