If the evanescence guy is the same one I'm thinking about, when since you been gone came out, Matt talked about how much he loved the guitar on the song and then he later found out that the guy went and asked the producer or something for Crimson how they got their guitar sounds and did the same thing on since you been gone. If this is true that's some funny inception shit.

 

I still fail to see how co-writes are a bad thing? If it makes the songs better, then that's all that matters. And lord knows, blink were in desperate need of outside influence after DED and Neighborhoods.

Yeah I'd definitely disagree, that's quite a broad net you are casting. Their albums are noticeably different from each other

Scott Heisel's opinion means as much to me as a Youtube or Reddit comment.

 

i think people see it as negative because it's not just "BLINK-182", it's Blink-182 with so and so. So if they don't like the song, it'll be just another person to point fingers at for "ruining" the song/album/band, whatever. I can see it now... it'll spark more "what if" scenarios on Reddit: "That song sucked, and it was co-written by so-and-so! And this song ruled, which was co-written by blah-blah... Imagine if blah blah had done the so-and-so song! oh mannnnn Blink fucked UUUUP!"

Yea, they all have differences, but every blink album is still just simple, catchy pop punk at heart. That's why I find it hard to believe that an actual blink fan would think that all 16 new songs on this album literally suck.

 

Travis is the nicest dude in the world haha, so many other people would have answered that way less diplomatically

 

So? I think Scott Heisel needed co-writes so he wouldn't have gotten axed from two jobs as a "writer." Maybe he should go watermark a fucking mug shot again. Fuck that guy.

 

I guess, still feels like a weird statement. I'm not all that into these 3 songs, but I still love the past 4-5 albums no question

I don't mind co-writes. Weezer's return-to-form album had a lot of co-writes and I think the White album did as well. I'm not a fan of Scott Heisel, he seems like the Grinch, except all year round. Just passing along info.

I just want good songs! I don't care who writes them.

 

Enjoying some songs in a genre doesn't mean you automatically like EVERY song in a genre.

 

He doxxed my mom and assholes sent her death threats in the fucking mail. He can go fuck himself. Also, he's bad at his (ex) jobs.

 

Real curious for those Patrick Stump co-writes. I feel like those could be highlights.
