I don't hate it I just don't like it. The Sabres already had enough in common with Edmonton. That being said the roster is the biggest problem here regardless of who the coach is so whatever

 

It's an upgrade from Housley, but I was hoping for a bigger splash personally

 

The Mark Lazerus article talking about a “bounceback” year for Keith based on plus-minus is fucking comedy. Keith was abhorrent all season and couldn’t give a shit down the stretch when Toews/Kane obviously did.

I haven't been keeping up with the Sabres, but Housley seems like the kind of bad coach that actively and irrepairably stunts his players' development, like Eakins in Edmonton

 

honestly for some reason I thought Q’s salary was a little low for his resume but nope I didn’t realize Babcock only made slightly more than him.

difference being Shero isn't a moron and if Hall tells him he isn't signing before the season starts, he will be traded for a nice haul

I think he stays given the youth there but if nj doesn't fix goaltending in the next two years he leaves

 

The decision will be made this summer. They don't have 2 years to wait around...his contract only has 1 more year left on it

and the Blackwood/Schneider tandem was totally fine down the stretch. Schneider was horrible the first half of the year but was actually quite good from mid-February on. I think he had a .928 in his final 15 games or something like that.

Blackwood is legitimately good and only 22 years old
