Multiple different people are saying that we're getting close to a deal with Lawrence. I hope it doesn't cripple the team. He also needs surgery ASAP.

Seems he actually took a pretty team friendly deal. I really didn’t think players did this.

 

hes not on the level of those 3 guys ahead of him so what he got makes sense

 

Yeah, he’s definitely not on their level but with the cap always rising and being as good as he is, he probably could have gotten much more on the open market.

This is where "guarantees" is also useful, looks like Lawrence is getting $31mil in cash this year, plus Im betting his next year's salary is fully guaranteed as well, so good chance he'll actually have more money guaranteed at signing than Von Miller (who had $42mil at signing).

Of course, these deals are so large that cutting them before Year 3 is basically impossible anyway, so even the "guaranteed for injury" stuff is almost certain to pay out.
