What kept me from buying tbh i think were the models looking too douchey.

 

I have a pair of pink shorts around that length and I like to think I look less ridiculous...

 

Speaking of I would totes buy those asos mid shorts if they were in pink. Idk how they'd fit on my thighs.

 

@St. Nate @Nick Just don't wear a collared shirt or suit jacket with them and it should be fine lol

 

Just googled what chubbies were... I can't imagine wearing those and not looking ridiculous.

 

idk how much I'm feeling the Chubbies, although I am looking for a shorter short

The ASOS offer does look nice but... that cuff kinda almost turns me off.

It's the little things...

 

chubbies are great. but all the douches at UT wear them with sperrys, polos/short sleeve button-ups, and those connected sunglasses hanging over their shirts.

I was wondering if someone would remember that post. For this exact reason, I only wear Sperry's with pants, never shorts. I actually had my Sperry's mostly for work as they fit the dress code of BBW. If I'm wearing shorts, it's most likely with flip flops or going for the hipster youth group look and my Tom's.

 

I wear Sperry's with shorts.

 

Don't wear sperrys, don't wear croakies (the sunglasses hung), don't wear short sleeve button downs unless you are rolling them ever so slightly and you're wearing like, black jeans.

 

I've worn Sperrys with shorts, but I prefer Vans with shorts and Sperrys with jeans. I feel just a little bit too preppy/frat bro when I wear Sperrys with shorts, even though I probably look fine.

 

I wear short sleeve button downs and like I jumped out of a Pitchfork advertisement

I don't worry about how I come off to others when I dress because I know what I wear works well. I don't mean that to be cocky, but I am just comfortable with my style. I have worn Sperry's, Vans, and Converse my whole life. Those all have a place. But, I have always dressed too put together for the DIY/punk/hardcore/metal scenes and too rock 'n' roll/edgy for my popular/jock friends. I like clothes and expanding my style. I tend to stick to classic looks/feels as certain pieces for men will never fade away. There are stores I definitely like to go to, but I have been using some of the shopper programs lately because I like the convenience and I like being introduced to new things. They definitely aren't for everyone, but I have had lots of success finding new brands and styles that work for me.

 

preppy is the new punk

 

There is a difference between dressing preppy and dressing classy imo, and I consider myself in the later category. That may mean I get lumped into preppy along the way, but I can't worry about that.
