Have I told you guys the random story I have about visiting this set? I’m just off-camera in this video. So wild.

(I’m half hoping you’re going to say you were suppose to cut Tom’s hair but forgot the scissors that day)

 

Obviously I was super broken up about blink breaking up, and super excited about angels and airwaves. So, my buddy had been working in music videos for about a year at that point and called me from Santa Barbara and told me that he was on a skeleton crew shooting the new video for angels and airwaves. I was so excited for him! Also super jealous. The next night, I got a phone call asking if I had any blink-182 and boxcar racer buttons/pins. I grabbed everything I had and was given an address. I headed to raleigh studios in Hollywood, got a drive on, and walked on to that space ship set. I gave them everything I had, there was a set up for Tom where he was putting on the buttons and pins. I think it was on his collar like he has in that video, but the shot never made it to the final video. I also never got my boxcar/blink stuff back. However, I was able to meet Tom and the band. Technically, I guess I was one of the first fans to see them as a “band“ and it was so great! One really crazy thing to think about is that the entire video was shot on actual film. Imagine the budget he had!

 

Sold some records this past week and I’ve been planning to drop money on some of my “want list” items, but I know that once I do that, blink’s gonna drop their signed vinyl super bundles and I’ll go broke. Must. Maintain. Until then.

you guys are right. I was lined up to buy a white variant of MS&TS Kuts tomorrow but I think I’m gonna cancel and save my money now

 

For reference, the preorder for California dropped 4/28/16 according to my email that I had to dig up.

Anticipating a new single and tour announcement this month. Getting super excited.

Yeah same here! I would be VERY surprised if we don’t at least get the album announcement this month

 

Im being casually optimistic about news this month. Even if they said june, these guys are experts at not meeting deadlines. Atleast the Simple creatures are done for now so mark will go into full blink mode.
