Rescued is a good song




They're good songs David

 

Rescued is a better song than either of those songs...

 

It is a very good song on one of the only albums I consider to be absolutely perfect. Seriously there isn’t a bad song on there.

That being said, it is definitely in the bottom third of songs on that album at best. For me it is quite literally 11th out of 11 haha. Well, maybe I’d put it in over Into The Airwaves. It’s a good song but relatively boring compared to the others on the album IMO.

It definitely shouldn’t be beating Holiday From Real or MFEO! Those songs are like the perfect encapsulations of the entire sound of EIT and I’m just salty okay!

What did I just read. Boring?! Yikes.

It’s the most beautiful song on the record and easily top 3 at least

 

Compared to the rest of the album, I find the piano/melody to be relatively tame/bland/etc. I think Kill The Messenger is way more beautiful musically. Same with part 2 of MFEO. I do really like the lyrics but again this album is so strong lyrically that they don't stand out as much as they might on a more average album lol

I do think it sits at perfect spot in the tracking too, it's such a good penultimate song in the story, it feels like the falling action after the climax of Kill The Messenger and before the conclusion of MFEO. But....I think both of those songs are way better haha


I feel bad istracting from TGP now though....I don't really have a clear cut favorite from this one, except maybe Miss California. Gonna be some tough votes coming up.
