no that’s not a new Beyoncé lyric; just trying to anticipate the @iCarly Rae Jepsen response don’t mind me

Bernie has a great logo. Gillibrand's is pretty great too. It kills me to say it but I don't think Warren's is a very good logo for someone running for president.

Just as a personal preference, however, I don't like the first name thing. I feel like Bernie Sanders is well-known enough to pull it off, but I don't think it works for Tulsi Gabbard, Amy Klobuchar or Marianne Williamson. (I have no idea who Marianne Williamson is and I am paying pretty close attention to all of this.)

I don't know if this is old-fashioned of me, but I feel like first and last name should be there. If you are going to do only one and not the other, it should be last name and not first.

I think first name works well if you have an uncommon/unique name and are already more well known. It works for Bernie, Beto, and I think Tulsi can pull it off since that’s a unique name. Cory kind of works but I think Booker would be better to use. Works well for Julián since he encorperates the accent well into the logo.

If I'm looking at these maps correctly, the Dem candidate in PA is in the lead but the more reliably Republican part of the state district has had none of it's 12 precincts report yet

Also if you are going to just use a name and not include your slogan or “for America” or something, you need to do something to it to stand out. Gillibrand uses great color contrast, Bernie has the signature underline and memorable font style, Julián has bold colors and font, Booker has interesting contrasting colors and font.

Like I’m shocked that a candidate as viable as Warren has such a boring logo. Her team couldn’t design something better? Lol

  6. Love Warren's font. Classic but modern, strong, just fantastic.

Beto's sucks. Amy's is alright. Cory's looks like something in Zumiez in the 90's.

I think it's cool to emphasize first name - like Julián Castro does - but I don't think it's a great idea to leave it off altogether.

So this late term abortion shit had low information voters asking dumb questions. Great.

I'm imagining Mayor Pete debating Trump one on one, and how amazing that would be to watch - a Rhodes Scholar, who speaks 8 languages, debating with an orange orangutan

Her take on Beto’s is impeccable.

As a font, i like it. As her logo, boring. It’s better off being on a pint of mint chocolate chip.

I’ve lived in Chicago for coming up on two years but I still don’t have a great feel for politics here so I don’t really know how to feel. Biggest criticisms of Lightfoot I’ve seen is that she’s never held elective office and worked in both the Daley and Emmanuel administrations.

    You gotta go with:

    Last name. Year. Cheesy slogan.

    POLSELLI 2020

BUILDING A BETTER AMERICA TOMORROW TOGETHER TODAY

I love Elizabeth Warren, and I think that's a cool-looking logo for something else, but I don't think it's a good running for president logo.

  21. Disagree. It's unique and looks great in all sizes and colors. The base colors are different, but meaningful, and it looks way better than most of those logos out there that have way too much going on. (And most ice cream brands would never use something with that weight, all caps, and strong N.)

But, I'm obsessive over type and something that damn good is not boring.

I also gotta say I am disappointed in the lack of good slogans from candidates.

Bernie’s “Not me. Us” is fine, but he used it in 2016 a lot. Was hoping for something fresh.

Kamala’s “For the People” is basic. It’s not clever imo.

Tulsi “Lead with Love”. It tries to be catchy but it’s not.

Gillibrand’s “Brave Wins”. I mean it’s fine, not the best but it works.

Yang’s “Humanity First” is pretty good.

Booker’s “We Rise” is something that could be used well in inspiring ads and speeches.

I love Castro’s “One Nation. One Destiny”. He wins the logo/slogan combo for sure.

All the others either don’t even have a slogan that I know of or it’s just bad.

  23. No 'slogan' is good. They all so pseudo-fascist. Castro's legit creeps me out.

  24. And Warren's been using "We Persist" and "Dream Big. Fight Hard."

(And "The Best President Money Can't Buy" on merch.)

  25. And Warren's dog handkerchief is the best merch so far.
