lmao, i meant for any new stadiums, but poor wording gets me that. metlife was definitely built at a time where retractable roofs were a thing. no excuse for there not to be one, especially since its a cold weather stadium

Yep, just an awful investment for the area. Not to mention it's hideous compared to other stadiums from around that time. The jets have hinted at leaving jersey recently so I wonder if they'll be redoing it to keep him.

Unless I missed something, that hasn't been discussed since before Metlife was even built. They were going to be in the West Side stadium that never came to be for New York's 2012 Olympic bid. The Jets and Giants each own half of Metlife, so neither of them is going anywhere anytime soon.

 

the jets have wanted their own stadium since like the 90's. they should leave metlife, rebuild shea stadium, and thats your new jets field

 

Their lease is up in 2025 so they could hypothetically leave

Yeah I was at Mania 29 at MetLife. For it being brand new at the time, it really didn’t have a whole lot of uniqueness to offer. I prefer M&T Bank Stadium here in Baltimore (although I’m not a Ravens fan, I do love their stadium)

 

That proposed Jets Stadium on the West Side looked so damn cool though, then instead they make fucking MetLife? Idiots.
