We have the skeleton of our cover done. Scratch vocals and the guitars are at least 80%... Bass tomorrow night. Drums done. It sounds much different then our previous covers.

Never been much of a YC fan. I guess I've got a lot of albums to listen to.

 

With them announcing their break up today, it just makes sense. Kinda like what we did with the Motion City Soundtrack one.

not gonna name songs yet obvs but there are so many I'd like to do

 

I have one Yellowcard song I'd really like to do, but there are so many I'm sure I could tackle.

 

So, I listened to A LOT of YC today... most of which I've only listened to once (maybe twice) before. I revisited Lift A Sail, Southern Air, WYTT,SY, Paper Walls and Lights & Sounds.

L&S turned me off when I first heard it (and it still does honestly). The next two records I really enjoyed... more pop-punky stuff BUT the vocals/choruses get annoyingly formulaic. By the time I got to the two most recent albums it was all running together...

YC is appealing to me in small doses, usually at high BPMs.

Of the albums I listened to today, I've got like 4 songs I'm considering. Then there's like anything from Ocean Avenue and the earlier albums I need to revisit... This might be a hard one (or two) to pick!
