I predict the week of Back to the Beach Fest we'll get a new single, album announcement qnd preorders and tour dates all announced live on KROQ. With the songs live debut at the fest.

Travis said he's still playing every show booked despite the ankle break

Not surprised really lol

 

I know nothing about drumming technically but how hard is it to play down a limb? Like when he was using one arm with +44 I think he played snare with one of his feet or something? I can't even tap my foot in time with a bass drum and do something different with my hand at the same time once so I'm clueless lol

 

He set up triggers for the +44 tour. I went to that tour and it was amazing watching him play with one arm.

 

His right foot being down means limited to no control of his hi hat which is a bummer because the hi hat work on Enema is so intricate and great and now we will have to do with a modified version of that. I know it’s a silly thing to be bummed about but here we are.

 

I'll never forget seeing +44 live and Travis playing No It Isn't with one hand and a cigarette in his broken hand.

Also, I had a weird thought listening to SC today and that was Ryan from ATL filling in for Travis lol.

 

Doesn't he play the kick with his right?

 

But his right foot controls the bass drum, not the hi-hat?

 

He would have to do the kick with his left instead, which would be tough for him to open/close his hi-hat

I’ve been listening to Strange Love at least once a day since it came out (are you surprised?) and damn Adrenaline is a jam

 

I like Ether, Strange Love, and Adrenaline a ton. The rest are okay or I don’t love. I don’t get why they thought Drugs was the best introduction to this project, aside from it being the worst song on there I don’t think it sounds representative of the EP.

 

Yeah. I like Drug well enough, but it’s really an odd man out on this EP

 

Yeah Drug feels out of place. Not that they didn't take it serious cause the best songs are great, but they really could've made something more awesomely cohesive. I hope the next EP kind of fully realizes a mood or something ya know

I read that this morning, and must admit the title is very click-baity. It sounds like Mark was saying they discussed this casually back when Tom was still in the band. I wouldn't see this happening again in the future.

THAT SAID, Mark really should consider doing a small tour with +44 again, and then throw in some solo songs on top of that.

 

Yeah he literally says "at one point". I know when I say that phrase, it's pretty damn past-tense. Click-baity as hell haha

 

Never gonna happen, but damn would I love it. An all day festival with Blink, AVA, +44, Simple Creatures, The Transplants, Alkaline Trio, The Sekrets, Box Car Racer, and a Travis +DJ set.
