I watched season 1 of Discovery recently and loved it. I’m waiting for season 2 to be done so I can watch it at once.
I’m onto Voyager and almost done with season 2. DS9 is my favorite so far, but each series is completely different from each other and is hard to choose. Voyager gets a lot of hate, but it has really grown on me. “The Thaw” is in my top 5 episodes of any ST series.

Anybody on here keeping up with Discovery? I just finished last night’s episode and loved every goddamn second of it, was on the edge of my seat the whole time and also laughed out loud more than I have in any other episode in recent memory. Then I started looking at reviews of it and saw that people seem to have hated it? I must be watching a different show.

I finished season one recently. I want to keep up, but my girlfriend wants to wait till the season is over and watch it all at once.

I have watched every episode of both seasons (excluding the most recent episode), and I would agree season two has been so good! Love the use of Pike and Spock, and the inclusion of section 31! I like they they have broken the Star Trek mold a bit but at least with S2 it still feels like a trek episode which I didn’t get with Enterprise.

Me and my girlfriend are watching the entirety of TNG currently. This is the first time either of us have done a full run through of the show, though we had both seen many episodes. Season 1 was difficult to get through. We're midway through Season 2 and it is finally starting to get a lot better. Can't wait to reach the brilliance that is seasons 3-7.

I think if it weren't for having my favorite pilot episode ever, I might not have gotten through season one.

It gets better after season 2. If you end up watching Deep Space Nine, the same is true for that series too lol.

Star Trek always seemed very cheesy and boring when I was a kid.

And yet as an adult I discovered Doctor Who and loved it and that’s the cheesiest show so maybe I’d like TNG now.

Didn’t see it as a kid and now it seems like a big commitment

If you don’t want to watch every single episode, look online to see the “arcs”. Each episode is its own thing, but there’s recurring plot lines throughout the series. The Borg storyline in TNG is actually only a couple episodes. There’s also Data and Worf/Klingon politics, but there’s actually a lot to them. But the best episode of all time is The Inner Light and it’s self-contained

TNG is my father's favorite show of all time, and I always liked it as a kid, but I was a lot older before I eventually watched the entire thing. You can get a pretty good idea about what its all about without watching the whole thing. Like xapplexpiex said, you could start with one of the arcs or one of the self-contained episodes.

Just watched the trailer. Holy shit.

I definitely need to finish what little I have to watch of Voyager now. I can’t believe Seven of Nine is in this. The banner for Captain Picard day was a nice call back that made me smile.
