Going from day games yesterday straight to only night games tonight is putting a damper on my high.

 

It stinks the Phillies are off today.

 

Since when is that a thing? Opening day and then a day off? That's gotta be new.

 

It happens pretty often. Happened to DET from 2010-2015 every year.

 

It's pretty common unfortunately. I'm happy it's a 4:05 game tomorrow though.

 

MLB does it to build in a potential "snow day" in northern cities for opening weekend. It's also the reason there are a lot of non-division series to kick off the year. I think it helps for scheduling but it is anti-climactic.

 

I feel like this is the first season that started on a Thursday right? They usually start like Sunday or Monday

 

A lot of opening day games have been on weekdays because I always have to take off work to go lol

 

I think Opening Day was a Thursday last year too but I'm too damn lazy to check

I have a note to myself for later to look up what’s the most stolen bases by a player in game while being shutout. Three stolen bases is pretty impressive for not scoring at all
