One of my friend's dog passed away the other day and he posted an Instagram story that was just him crying for 30 seconds

 

Very sorry to hear all sad pet stories :(

 

I have gone on record that I am not the biggest pup fan but sleep in the heat is the saddest song I have heard in my entire life

 

I mean...the song does have a lyric about going to the vet...

 

I thought it was about losing a friend/family member to substances for the longest time until I read an article where he explained it

 

Reading the lyrics, I'm not sure how on earth I missed it. I guess maybe I couldn't make out the vet line? Or the lines about looking stoned threw me off? Or maybe I'm a fucking idiot haha.

 

if you think i can understand what this guy is saying half the time you are wrong- i'm still realizing i've had a bunch of them wrong.

 

The first few times I heard it I didn't realize it was about a pet but once I looked at the lyrics it's very obvious.
