These are the type of soundbites that send me back into a disbelief that this is (still) real. My brain cannot processes the stupidity of this man, as well as his followers (some are people I even care about), and just how many people fell for ... this. Shit’s so depressing.

Facebook's deliberations about the notorious conspiracy theorist Alex Jones have been laid bare in a lengthy email trail seen by Business Insider.

On the day Facebook announced it was barring white nationalism and white separatism from its platform, more than 20 Facebook and Instagram executives discussed an inflammatory post by the Infowars host.

No matter how much of a scum of the earth bag of shit I think he is, he’s always able to go lower.

 

One of the things I hate most about this is that it is perfectly legal to seek asylum. I feel like the purposeful repeated refrain of "I am fine with immigrants coming the right way" is a strategy to obscure this fact. I think a lot of people will tell you they think it is probably illegal just because of how much we have been inundated with this type of garbage rhetoric.

Political differences are one thing, but I don't know how any fucking person can look at themselves in the mirror and be okay with supporting someone who looks at people being afraid for the lives and safety of their children and taking a huge risk to try to protect them and fucking mocking them. It is absolutely beyond disgusting and sickening.

My son was only a few months old around the time that the photo of Alan Kurdi's lifeless little body with his face in the wet sand went viral. That picture hit me very hard. For some reason it wasn't his lifeless bluish grey skin or any other morbid graphic detail that really hit home with me, it was seeing his red shirt and his shoes. Knowing that that day started off with someone lovingly putting that red shirt on him and struggling to get those small shoes onto his feet while he kicked and squirmed like all little kids do but ended with him being face down on a beach with the waves gently lapping onto his cold dead face. It still upsets me to this day.

Knowing that our president looks at a situation like that and his response is to mock people like that and make fun of them infuriates me and makes me want to do anything and everything to make sure that he is out of office as soon as possible. Knowing that he does that in part because a percentage of people in this country eat it up with a fucking spoon and love him for it makes me want to burn this country down or start a civil war. Or move to Scandinavia.

 

Well this clears it up. 1% in the polls OR 65,000 donors. I wish you needed both to make it a little more challenging. I’m all for giving everyone a chance to go to the debates but I don’t know why they wouldn’t just make both a qualification for it

 

Its wild how much better everything would be if instead of paying $100,000 for a lawyer they just gave that money to the homeless people.
