Flowers is so 3eb....especially that solo

 

Heaven is this band's opus.

edit: or maybe it's Flowers On The Grave . The first half is very TEB Motorcyle Drive By-esque

 

It is crazy to think this record essentially has two awesome closers...coulda saved one for next time lol

Two listens in and I can’t believe The Maine wrote THIS record. Like how is this the same band that wrote Can’t Stop Won’t Stop!? What an amazing evolution as a band.

In the band thread the other day I mentioned that I thought My Best Habit was in the conversation for my top five favorite songs by them, but it’s maybe only the 3rd or 4th best song on the album!

Forevermore is probably the simplest song this band has ever written but it's already one of my favorites

 

Very smart

 

I’m not a huge fan of One Sunset, but that’s the only thing here that even resembles a misstep for me. Even so, I forget all about it when Flowers on the Grave comes on - that entire song is just stunning.

 

“One Sunset” is the song The Killers have refused to write for the last 5 years. Love that Marr inspired guitar line.

 

I immediately got Gatsby's American Dream vibes from the intro

 

You had my interest but now you have my full attention

 

Haha I think it's just the drums + guitar during the intro/verses

 

Closer brought a big tear to my eye.
