If you are looking for an elite, clutch and durable RB - James White is available. Pats are also looking to trade up from 32 and have multiple picks in rounds 2 and 3. Targeting between picks 10-15.

 

In very un-gettleman like fashion, the Giants are prepared to trade down. Will pick during my lunch, 12:30. if nothing materializes.

Yeah they really aren’t similar at all other than “very athletic for being a LB”. Entirely different playing styles. White is good at some of the things that Jack is bad at, hence being a better fit at middle LB

Spending a fifth round pick frees up one of our two thirds / the fourth? Where we are much more likely to get a value pick at DT, WR, G, S, etc many positions we also need that impact the game more than a backup RB

 

Except it doesn’t actually address what I suggested.

 

Even moving our late third down to another fourth, that’s still a pick we can use on another position we really need aside from RB

 

There are far more valuable RBs than White out there. And the list of draftable safeties and guards dries up much quicker than the RBs

 

We really need a backup RB and there are GREAT prospects available for that position

This is why I’d rather trade a 5th for an existing RB in the league than spend a 3rd on drafting one lol

I think White is good for what we need. Our backup RB is never gonna be our short yardage back as long as Fournette is here. White is top notch on passing downs, however.

 

Because the RB you want to trade for is 27 and has less than 850 career rushing yards. We can just use that fifth on a younger, better RB
