New Rocket League and RB6 updates to try. Already planned to play RB6 with my mates tomorrow night. Should be able to get some Rocket League in too. Combined with the DayZ update its been a good week for gaming for me.

 

I think Rise of Tomb Raider was pretty damn close to Uncharted 2/3. Really fantastic game.

However, it doesn't hold a candle to Uncharted 4. Not even close. Great game though.

 

I don't think I saw anything posted in here but Square Enix is having a big 50% off sale on psn. I picked up ffv, vi, and legends yesterday.

 

I think they made a mistake making Rise of Tomb Raider an Xbox exclusive for a year. Releasing it on PS4 after Uncharted 4 has set a new standard for action/adventure games seems really dumb.

 

I just keep forgetting about it but when it does come out on PS4 I'm going to be happy as hell.

 

Open world/sandbox games are my thing so I think that is why I prefer it over Uncharted. To each their own.

 

It's not difficult. Just takes time.

 

It made the completion a little more interesting because I made a challenge on TrueAchievements against you. Haha. It's all in good fun though.

Likewise. I got my Bloodborne platinum but that's all I've gone for in years. I can't believe there was a time I would get 1000gs on Assassins Creed and COD games, ha.

 

Haha, I literally don't even have the game anymore so that was all you buddy. I think I've cured myself of completions given my backlog. My version of complete varies now haha.

Good job though, I know it's not the easiest for sure.

 

As I said, to each their own. Everybody likes something different.

 

I think the Last Guardian is the first collector's edition I am legitimately excited for. Like I actually want to check out the art book and would be happy to have Trico sitting on my bookshelf.

 

Completionists and achievement hunters are still very much a thing. Every gamer is looking for something different in their experience. This thread is not really into completions and that is totally fine.

 

I really hope those excited for the Last Guardian get what they've been excited/hoping for. I have a sinking feeling it won't live up...

That's the same problem Final Fantasy XV is going to face. Both are long in development games which fans have been clamoring for, for years.

I think the best thing a fan can do is try to go in without reading reviews or expectations, but I think regardless of the quality of the games, some fans will definitely be disappointed. The hype is sometimes too big to overcome.

Yeah, exactly. The initial impressions I've seen from people who went hands on at E3 has me thinking it'll definitely let some down. Hopefully, it gets a bit more polish and ends up on some top 10 lists at end of year.

 

I just don't think people are expecting the games to be the greatest thing ever released. I just want them to live up to the incredible games that preceded them. The length I have to wait doesn't make me expect anything more or less of the game.

 

It is going to make me happier when I finally get them both though, haha.

 

That's fair haha, hopefully it goes through some more polish before release.

Curious what they do next once it releases.

 

Only thing that won't be happy is my wallet since they are only weeks apart.
