last i checked...matt IS in blink-182 and will be making money off of the band and upcoming CD. I am sure the publicity is not hurting his feelings any. Being in a band/famous band...you have to have thick skin and not be so sensitive to every little thing.

it's not 'every little thing' when you're filling the shoes of a member of one of the biggest bands of the last few decades. i know any press is good press in some instances, but i'm sure he'd rather not have a ton of people telling him he sucks just because he's not Tom. hope this won't lead to a fan throwing something at him at a show - this is very much a possibility.

 

I can sooner understand someone saying "they shouldn't have continued without Tom" than someone saying "I want to pay $100+ to see this."

 

This has actually happened at the last round of Trio past live shows, which is probably why he went ghost and stopped meeting fans after. I literally witnessed at their last show in chicago, someone yell something about blink and then toss what seemed like a full fucking 7-11 cup of beer straight at him, half of which soaked me.

Yes, and my friend has video where between songs at past live philly, some douchebags were yelling for them to play blink songs.

 

He had to have known what he was getting into. As a professional musician there is no way he would be that oblivious.

 

i understand all of that. Matt's experienced, he knows how to handle messy stuff for sure. i just have a problem with people. people suck. i hate people.

I was in Philly for the last night of past live, Matt came out after the show and hung out. People were being dicks that night and it was really putting a strain on Dan and Derek as well. From what I understand Dan and Derek have been pretty supportive of Matt.

 

I just want everyone to get along and be happy goddammit.

 

This is a great analogy for Tom as an artist. He says something big and grandiose, then takes some of it back, then takes more of it back, and we are left with something almost completely different!
