Mark seems way more annoyed with/sick of Tom than Travis this time around. If I recall correctly, the latter had the worst things to say during the first break-up...

 

Ahh having those as tweets as opposed to DMs is just weird and confusing now

 

Tom can be out of the band and still be cool with Travis. Every interview the band has had lately says that.

Yeah Tom and Travis have both said multiple times they're still friends and talk semi-regularly, who cares that they're tweeting

 

Whoa I've heard some mean things said about Tom but that seems harsh

 

Tom is once again becoming more of a topic than this new album/lineup. Ugh.

Tinfoil Hat Theory [A Definitive Guide to the Blink Break-Up Extravaganza]:
1) Tom doesn't respond. Tom. Is. Out.
2) Enter MATTHEW SKIBA.
3) Tom gets pissed, realizing he's gonna lose that sweet sweet touring $$$.
4) Some kind of legal compromise is drafted (Blink can perform for a couple years, at which point the issue is revisited...maybe like a band-lease almost?)
5) Tom, watching the one that got away flourishing and happy in a new environment, cannot keep his mouth shut about a possible reunion (which will only happen cause legal issues).
6) 2016 goes on, with Skiba. We get another EP. Meanwhile, little things like this tweet exchange become the norm.
7) Tom comes back. We read articles about how things are improved. That Tom has overcome his own issues. That the bands in a great place.
8) We get another album...in 2021.

I'm super nervous. Before all of this Blink stuff Dan thought a Trio album would be done by now.

 

Travis is friends with everyone, I wouldn't read into tweets or lack of tweets from him. Travis talks a lot about how important it is for him to keep in touch with friends and family after his accident, I mean that was the whole thing that spurred the first reunion. Even with Tom out of the band, I can see Travis still being his buddy

 

Very much. I don't miss Tom even a little bit. This is better than Blink has been in a very long time. It's what I like most about Blink.

I love that Tom is obviously reading people's comments (the ones calling him delusional), and tweeted Travis to prove that they're in contact with one another. Wasn't there someone on Absolute Punk that a lot of the member base thought was Tom? or at least a member of his management?

 

yeah, i mean that by Travis' tweet too. i know he wanted to show that there's no bad blood as of now, but you know how tombots are. wish they'd kept it private so as to not mess with the good Matt vibes they've got going on right now.

 

I have to admit that even though Tom is clearly a bad singer on video, I've never thought about that when I would see them perform cause I was busy having the time of my life. His time in the band is over now and I really wish for their own sake that they would all move on peacefully and to be happy.

 

All I know is Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba, my two favorite musicians ever made an album together. And Tom can never take that away! Still so hyped.

 

there was that one post where Tom (confirmed to be him) announced AVA. wouldn't surprise me to find out he had a few lurking accounts though

 

forget good Matt vibes...blink-182 is one of the most talked about bands right now because of stuff like this. it is win-win for everyone
