I did too for a while, it was tough when my granny would be at work (they live together and she takes care of GG) wondering what would be going on with her. Now that granny's retired it's a lot easier to destress about it.

 

sounds like a good problem to have tbh. think of all the money you’ll save not having to eat the next two days of your trip

 

You might be halfway joking but you’re not even wrong hahah I’m still full from dinner last night and I had to decline breakfast 3 times. She still tricked me into wanting the bacon she cooked though.

Oh if someone is gonna let me call them THAT evening and come over on short notice and make dinner, the LEAST I can do is let her talk my ear off haha. I’m always polite for small talk, for better or worse haha

I took my wife to see my Step Grandma once and I asked how she was doing. My wife watched me as i turned pale and almost pass out as she started on about her medical issues non-stop

 

My great grandma doesn't talk much, she's pretty brief in conversation. However she asks the same question like 20 times.

Update: Our biggest client's site is down, 1 coworker took off without notice and the other had an internet outage, so I have 2 meetings upcoming (including 1 with the client having the site down) during a system down with next to no coverage and am slowly considering getting hit by a car a la Jean Ralphio
