I have only heard Black once, but I would say it's tied for their worst album with Hurley. Hoping it grows on me, but the lack of guitars make it sound just really "Not Like Weezer" to me.

People are ranking EWBAITE so low but Ain’t Got Nobody and Go Away are a couple of friggin bangers

 

EWBAITE would be 110% improved if they put Everybody Needs Salvation on it. one of the best songs tbh

 

I get absolutely nothing out of Death to False Metal and it pisses me off that for their collection of unreleased songs, THOSE were the songs they picked

 

it's undeniably shit but I'll go to bat for The Odd Couple and Losing My Mind as great songs

 

I still am adamant that if you take out Dangerous/Automatic/Thought I Knew and replace it with the bonus tracks, you have an incredibly strong Weezer album.

Troublemaker, Pork & Beans, Angel & The One, Greatest Man and King are some of my most played Weezer songs, according to iTunes.

 

I used to love Hurley, but this thread got me to re-listen to it and it actually fell a little for me.

 

Odd Couple, Autopilot and Unbreak My Heart are the only decent songs from it, but even those I almost never go back to.

Just looked at the setlists from yesterday and tonight. They've added No Other One, Living in LA, Pink Triangle and High as a Kite.

 

It’s weird that False Metal exists but dude that album cover is something else right

 

I think Pacific Daydream is my favorite Weezer album since Maladroit

 

I completely forgot Everyone is a song that exists and has the phrase "suck a thumb" repeated

 

I expected greatness from that album cover lol

 

I used to be a big defender of Red but after relistening lately I think it’s pretty bad. There’s 3-4 good songs but most of them are done dirty by their lyrics, which are awful even by Weezer standards. And I like The Angel and the One but I don’t think it’s incredible or anything.

 

Yup, I’m with you on every bit of this.
