Yeah he walked into a situation where he had picks and cap space but that doesn’t mean we should give Sashi credit now for the team being in that situation at that time. The Browns have had several years of having cap space and picks and failed each time.

 

Ingram to the Ravens. And Earl Thomas. Damn.

 

It’s not hard to tank your roster and create tons of cap space. The hard part is what you do from there. It’s just a weird take to not let go of the Sashi situation and try to keep giving praise.

Sashi had 14 picks in the 2016 draft...I think maybe 4 of those guys are left...his 1st and 3rd picks have netted in return a future 7th rounder. His 2017 draft was better, but he still traded the picks that could have netted him Wentz or Watson and took Deshon Kizer. His path was still gonna be a cycle of failure because it never found a steady footing.

Whereas Dorsey getting Mayfield, Ward, Corbett, and Chubb means they are in a situation where they can trade an older G for a need (Vernon)...and where they can trade a pick and a solid player for a game-changer (Beckham)...and its building to something.

That's a great secondary, just need to stay healthy. Could still potentially trade/cut Jimmy to free up cap space though.
