I'm religious in the least religious state in the country, and it's never been a problem while dating. But it's not something I talk about constantly or anything.

 

Yeah I asked a girl out at work a while back, it was the first time I just approached someone. It didn't really work out because she just got in a relationship, but we did become friends after.

However it did reinforce my belief that it's better to get to know someone naturally, and then see if something develops. She ended up being the perfect girl for a traditional guy (likes cars, sports, etc.), none of which I am. So even though she ended things with the guy, and wanted to try something with me, I didn't pursue it since we weren't compatible.

All my friends are in relationships and will leave me.

 

I like being alone except when I think about other people

 

Its pretty annoying when none of your friends can relate because they're in happy relationships and everything is great.

I was like "why is it freezing out? Im gonna cuddle the hell out of my pillow" A few days ago and my friend writes back "I never liked to cuddle... Until I met max "

ironically enough the women i've dated who are "super religious" always tend to be the most terrifying / worst human beings on the planet. makes for some fun times though because i dig and attract the crazy.

 

that's when i love being alone most!

 

I'm so used to being the 3rd wheel that it doesn't even phase me anymore.

 

I'll just be at home watching movies and think about all the people out having fun with people they care about and get depressed about it

 

But I'm not even being hit up to be third wheel anymore!!!

think of all the couples you pass at stores where the guy has a glazed over look in his eyes as he bumbles through a store, being dragged along, losing ridiculously large moments of his life so his SO/wife/GF can pick out the right color kitchen hand towels that she wants him to agree with but he gets no say in.

man... what a life! can't believe what i'm missing!

Yeah, some of my closest friends are in really unhappy marriages. Which scares me even more than being alone.

 

Marriage sucks. Everyone should be required to watch divorce corp on Netflix before they think about it.

 

That's the funny thing about it. I'm actually really happy by myself, which makes getting in a relationship a little tricky.

I mean I want to be in one for all the usual things- companionship, planning outings, etc.

But I'm also not so attached to it that I am actively trying to date. Right now, my philosophy is if I find someone, great, if I don't, then I don't.

Only thing I do to make something happen is to continue experiencing new events and seeing if I happen to meet someone.

 

All I'm getting out of this is that more men should give a damn about their taste in home decor.

 

I'm not anti-marriage as a whole, but these are all friends who got married in their late teens/early 20's. They rushed into things and now don't want to get divorced for the kids.

 

I get less active when in a relationship. I mean, yeah lets see the new Jason Bourne movie on that friday, but all the other days of the week lets just chill at home...please?

 

i just want a cute girl to go to concerts with. That is turning out to be more difficult than I thought it would be

 

i'm not a big fan of marriage, but dang I want dress up pretty and get married.

meanwhile i've been debating between shoe racks for the last three weeks. tough life decisions.

 

The worst is when they call and ask what you're doing. You know damn well you're not doing anything. But saying that every time they call will make you seem super lame so you say "I literally just walked in the door."
