Even regardless of the latter part, guaranteeing that you get your guy and don't have to win a bidding war is valuable

 

Normally this kind of thing happens because a team is worried they’ll miss out on signing them in FA but it is a little strange in this case just because I think Philly would have been DJax first choice anyways lol. But what they gave up is minor so it doesn’t really matter anyways
