Actually love that set list with the exception of Beverly Hills.

Wow they pretty much play all of Blue.
Fun setlist, but would've liked it if they replaced that Jane's Addiction cover with something from Maladroit. Also interesting that they aren't even playing High as a Kite.

These guys play practically the same setlist on every tour. I just wanna hear stuff from White/PD/Black at this point /:

Woah what a weird coincidence. My 3 year old nephew was over my place this morning and he was dancing his butt off to Hustle when I played him the Black album.

It's the same when EWBAITE and White were released. :(

Yeah I saw them not long after White came out and I definitely remember hearing California Kids, Do You Wanna Get High, King of the World and LA Girlz. Maybe Thank God for Girls too.

I saw them on the panic tour and they played 3 songs from white. Saw them after EWBAITE and they played 2 songs. Saw them after Hurley and they only played Memories. They’re never really good about paying attention to their latest album.

I think I remember an interview recently where he said the records are for him, and the shows are for the fans. Or something along those lines lol

I saw them right after Raditude came out and the only song they played from it was If You’re Wondering. Not that I’m complaining.

Yeah I mean, it's hard to blame them when they are such a nostalgia band for a majority of their audiences and most of their biggest hits are from a while ago

“Endless Bummer” and “LA Girlz” should be played alongside every great Weezer song from the early days.

    Should be classics.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

yeah LA Girlz should literally be a concert staple on par with Buddy Holly.

Still that's honestly a pretty good setlist. Drop a couple covers for LA Girlz, Do You Wanna Get High and Kite and I'd be really happy

This band has such a large catalog that their set lists should change significantly every night. Keep the hits in, a couple covers if need be, and pull the rest from all albums/deep cuts.

There are fans of all different eras and it just doesn’t make sense to me for them to not even be playing the new record

I've come to the realization that Weezer is probably one of my favorite bands but they're also not really an act I need to see more than once I think. I saw them on the Panic tour (where they had a great setlist) and I'm honestly completely fine missing this tour

At least play 2 songs off your new album lol. No one goes to a show and wants to hear more than one cover, not even the most basic of fans.

It's honestly so odd...I posted in the tour thread, and have said multiple times over the years, for Weezer to have 12 studio albums 25 years into their career and they only play 15 of their own songs in a 20 song set is criminal. Honestly a slap in the face to fans paying $60, $70 or more to come to their show. Also, their songs are like, 3 minutes long so to only play 20 songs - again, this deep into their career- is shameful. They should be at minimum playing 25-30 songs...they can still do that in under 2 hours with the length of most of their songs.

I'm just really glad that I got to see them three times - all within the first 10-11 years of their career - so they played a good mixture of Blue/Pinkerton/Green/Maladroit. In the three times I've seen them, they played just one cover (Foo Fighters - Big Me) and that was when they co-headline with Foo Fighters.

Trying to make an ideal Weezer set is hard. Keeping to 22 songs and a 3-song encore (I know it's more than they actually play), mandatory two songs from the most recent record and one cover included, this is what I got:

    American Gigolo
    The Good Life
    Hang On
    Photograph
    Can't Knock the Hustle
    My Name Is Jonas
    California Kids
    Dope Nose
    Pork and Beans
    Zombie Bastards
    Across the Sea
If You're Wondering If I Want You To
    Ruling Me
    Summer Elaine and Drunk Dori
    The World Has Turned
I've Had It Up To Here
    Tired of Sex
    Any Friend of Diane's
    Take Control
    Undone
    King of the World
    Africa

    Encore
    Keep Fishin
    Buddy Holly
    El Scorcho

Basically, they could do much better, but I don't envy the task they have when creating a set with so much material. My draft list had about 40 songs on it, so I had to cut 15 good songs.

The only time I saw them was right after Hurley came out and they didn’t play a single song from it lol. Co-headliner with The Flaming Lips, they did the Paranoid Android cover and the bands did She Don’t Use Jelly together as the encore. It was great!

I absolutely hate that the success of Africa now means that it’s probably locked into every setlist for the rest of their career and taking up a spot on the setlist that could go towards an actual Weezer song.

Happy I’m going for free tomorrow. 5 covers and only 20 songs...
