Ugh. So yesterday at work, this guy kept saying the R word. I tried to ignore it, but my friend heard and she told him that's not okay. Then he started mansplaining to her and interrupting any time she tried to talk. He was going on about "being offended is a choice" and that he had friends with disabilities growing up so it's okay for him to say. He steamrolls her another few times, so i tell him "I bet if we talked to HR right now, they would have a completely different opinion on your use of that word." Then he finally shuts up.

So I go home and get a text from my boss, she says this guy complained about me. Like, he was so offended by my words that he had to leave early that day. He told my boss that my friend and I "verbally attacked" him. Doing told my boss I'd be more than happy to sit down with the two of them and share my side of the story.

We'll see how it goes on Monday. I have witnesses though.

 

Oh, also this guy has said creepy things to every girl in the office and makes people uncomfortable.
