Surprised New Lows made it into Mosh Madness. Every time I mention them to hardcore fans nobody has any idea who I'm talking about. This is still one of my favorite breakdowns.

 

I voted for Rohnert Park but it was close. That New Lows EP from a few years back is filthy

 

I’ve started digging into some of the lesser known records on these polls. Inclination, Blistered, Minus. All real good stuff. That Malfunction record from a few years back is pretty good too

 

Yeah it’s already opened my eyes to some solid records, which I think was their overall intention. I really liked the Renounced record. That’s some good ass metalcore.

 

Someone in here posted about Renounced before and I liked what I heard. It's taken me a lot of time to come around on more mosh-y sort of stuff but I'm all about it now

 

Speaking of Minus...

 

Where can you look at these polls? Love Blistered, sad I never got to see them. Malfunction was the first hardcore band I saw live, they opened for Turnover when they were touring for Blue Dream.

I’m still about two episodes behind on listening to the albums and deciding what I’d vote on. Props to the podcast for having this great thing to get me to check out stuff that would never be on my radar necessarily.

 

What are some notable releases this year? I’m definitely behind and need to check out some new stuff.
