Okay yea, I remember those now. The Battle of the Bastards in particular one gave me chills. That whole battle felt huge and claustrophobic at the same time.

oh my god that tracking shot of Jon in the BoB episode was insane. And then last season they had that tracking shot of Bronn during the caravan battle that was also insane.

Ok sorry back to Star Wars

    Yup, these two are amazing.

The one they did with Bronn was pretty cool too during the dragon attack on the caravan I suppose, trying to put you in the middle of being attacked with dragon fire, but that one did feel a little more "this is just a cool shot so we should do it" type lol

The show had never conveyed the actual terror and power of the dragons as effectively as in that scene and the camerawork was a big part of it

Yeah true, I didn't mean to downplay it too much, but for some reason it just doesn't feel the same way for me as those other two big ones...not sure why haha

Tracking shot in season 1 of True Detective is amazing as well.

On topic: I was considering making the trip to Chicago for Celebration for the trailer (I'm only about 5 hours from there), but I figured I could just as easily watch the stream for free and I wouldn't be missing out on too much. I am headed to SDCC in July, so I'll get my convention fix then.

Pretty crazy that phantom menace is 20 this year. Saw it in theaters for my 5th grade graduation and my little league team had a pepsi sponsor and all the pepsi cans had watto qui gon and anakin on them.

My dad pulled me out of school in 4th grade to see it. Ultra hype. Also those Pepsi cans might be the reason I prefer Pepsi to Coke. Always loved getting the blue and gold character cans from the Pepsi machine with the pod racers on it.

It is wild! I’m going to do my best to get to the TPM panel at Celebration and I’m really happy to see Ahmed Best will be there *crosses fingers for Natalie and Ewan*

Reminds me, there is one of those Pepsi machines about an hour from me in a crappy mall. Still in working order.

My old ass was a sophomore in high school, and I remember riding to see it opening night in my older brother's friend's Jeep with the hard top off. There was a whole line of us in cars all going together.

Man I remember collecting all of the Pepsi cans trying to get the gold Yoda can. My mom also let me skip school to go see this on the day of release. I was in fifth grade. I loved every moment of it.

  21. I called my mom on a pay phone from the hall in high school to tell her a friend got us midnight tickets and I needed to go and begged. She said ok.

    Oh and Fuck being old.

It was so exciting 20 years ago. I remember staying up late one night to watch them show footage from the red carpet premiere on like MTV, hoping they'd show any kind of footage that I hadn't seen in a trailer already. The hype was so real. When I finally saw it, TPM blew my mind. I was 9 so, you know.

Got to see it at a drive-in which is the only movie I vividly remember seeing at a drive-in as a kid. It was packed, and I’m pretty sure I brought a lightsaber collection too. I was 8 so this is acceptable.
