Mccagnan did once say hackenberg would be a starting qb for years to come...

Not wanting to pay an older declining player to be on their team at the end of their contract is a bad thing?

    Lol

I don't blame him. Many Bills fans have an inferiority complex and are taking it as an affront to Buffalo. They're idiots. Look at the fucking team. Unproven, volatile quarterback. 31 year old RB. Collection of replacement level players at receiver. Two tight ends in the roster, one converted from WR and the other from QB. Garbage offensive line.

If you have any control over where you're going that's not where you are going.

I was more referring to Palamalu, but paying a 32 year old RB doesn't make much sense either if you have decent running backs on the team already or could just draft a serviceable dude.

I'm glad in the end LeBron was at least able to give both of our teams championships

That is not the goal of the trade from the players perspective. The goal is to leave what you feel is a bad situation for a better one. Why would you want to leave for a worse one?

I will not criticize a player for not wanting to serve their full contract when organizations are not required to do so.

No, I’m just suggesting that he may be trying to use his leverage while he still has it. He’s still in his prime but it isn’t getting any better from here

Fred was the best Jags player of all time, and he wanted to stay here, and was still good. He also could easily be in the top 10 in rushing yards all time if he didn't go to a team that really just used him very sparingly.

MJD was "done" when we let him go to the Raiders. In that case, yeah, it was good we didn't pay our 32 year old RB. Taylor was NOT done and still had more legacy to earn had we let him keep going.

Players don't trade themselves. Demanding a trade = demanding the team seek alternate value in return for you. Demanding to go to certain teams is not what demanding a trade implies.

I will in this particular instance, when Brown had a good situation and is just being a brat.

I mean, look at his last three years. They were injury riddled and he barely had near 1,000 yards combine across all three of them, as well as bad yards per carry. I can understand the veteran leadership aspect, but that's not worth the money if his production is easily replaceable and/or improvable.

Is there any details as to what kind of contract he was wanting?

I mean players would really demand to get cut but they know teams won't do it. Demanding the trade instead is the compromise so I get it.

It's not a compromise just because the team gets to choose the destination, it's a compromise because they get value back and get the player's contract off the books.

His last two years are because, like i said, the Patriots used him sparingly.

He had some routine injury his last year with the Jaguars but he also had less numbers cause he was splitting time with MJD.

I still think we should've let it ride. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure we traded him while still under contract.

Okay, sure, I can understand this but I think we can just agree to disagree. I've never been a fan of legacy contracts for any player. That's just me.
