How is Whooch these days? I quit shortly after Kulap, but it left a big hole in my Wednesday morning commute.

 

I fell off from it for awhile, but I think the new format works really well, they do the music chart and than they do the movies, and instead of kicking out the guest on the 3rd segment everyone picks a song that they enjoy.

Is Action Boyz worth subscribing to?

 

I'm not even a big fan of most of the movies they talk about and it's one of my current favorites. I'd say it's like...60/40 actually talking about the movie vs telling stories/dumb jokes.

As with most Patreon podcasts, I'd say it's worth dropping $5 to download a ton of episodes and see if you like it. If you're not feeling it just cancel. A five dollar gamble is worth finding your new favorite podcast

 

I’m still on the H&M eps. I assume you need to watch every movie to really get the jokes, right? That’s why I’m going slowly

 

At least for me, nah. Rodger's talks through the plot and it's fairly easy to understand (these movies aren't too story heavy).

 

I grew up on action movies and can probably listen to most eps while not seeing a given movie for years and still get the references. Maybe I’ll give it a go
