well yeah aside from those that are immune to one or the other

 

rn I’m using the blades way more but it’s because I just got them and the newness of them is super sweet

 

i haven't played mw remastered in prolly a good year and ive been owning people left and right. theres nothing but noobs on the game since it went free and everyone moved on to ww2 and blops4

 

Played a little dmc5, lots of fun.

I think some companies not doing conferences etc. this year is because don't have much to show

 

Yeah this is for all intents and purposes a fade out year. Drop all the ps4/Xbo Games and start with next gen 2020.

 

I'd definitely rather have no conferences at all than 2012 again. Cursed E3. Never forget Wonderbook.

Whoever doesn't have enough to show shouldn't force it. Could be telling re: those rumors of the next Xbox being announced at E3 that Microsoft is still having a conference. Still early though, they could still decide to cancel it, but for now that's what it seems like.

 

I'm always ready to be proven wrong but I think there's no way the next generation will be out next year

 

i don’t think i’ll be upgrading to a new console until a couple of years in. i’m looking forward to catching up on the stuff i’m behind in and hopefully a price drop on og PSVR hardware when the 5 comes out

 

Next gen will be out next year but I think the next Xbox will be more of a service than a box and I think the PS4 will be supported until like 2025

 

The signs are already accumulating that it's going to be next year. I'd be shocked if it wasn't. There's no way this generation lasts longer than the last one did.

 

It’s a lot of speculation based on previous cycles yet this cycle is almost incomparabke to previous ones.

The by far most powerful console on the market is 1) not as successful as its base model 2) too expensive for many and 3) NOT PROFITABLE DESPITE ITS PRICE. That seems like a bad sign for a new generation.

On top of that, especially the PS4 is still selling boatloads, which means just killing it would be a waste of money, especially given that a PS5 woud likely not make money on hardware sales.

 

Not exactly a good argument when that console (and the PS4 Pro, for that matter) is viewed as essentially unnecessary by the majority of gamers. Average people are way more likely save up/splurge on the next generation of gaming than a higher-end version of something they either already own or can get a comparable version of for way cheaper.

 

tbf the PS4 Pro is viewed as unnecessary because it has a counterpart in the One X that walks all over it, and the One X is largely viewed as a big improvement to the experience even on a 1080p tv
