As fun as it was to watch this all in about a year and not have to wait between seasons, I’ve come to realize that I really do enjoy the waiting and speculative conversation for things like this. It’s half the fun.

    The trailer has me hyped.

I’m betting that shot of the Night King’s Horse is the final shot/cliffhanger of episode one.

Martin's wife said she'd divorce him if he killed Sansa.

Part of me is relieved that he's still married.
Part of me thinks he just called D&D and told them to troll his wife.

True...but Tyrion is still alive as well, so technically either one of them could still carry that out.

I hope it’s Jaime tho. I know Tyrion really wants his vengeance but.

Trying again today, and I’m realizing I watched waaaaaay more of S2 than I remembered. I can’t believe how little impact it made on me, but a lot is coming back now. It’s totally possible I finished this season as well the last time I gave it a shot. Whoops.

Finished S6 today and the last two episodes fully lived up to the hype, holy shit

Ramsay's death was so morbidly satisfying, and so was Davos sending the Red Woman away

Why would the Night King be on a horse when he has a dragon now?

Ahh shit good point. Well, another White Walker then? I dunno, it still feels like a cliffhanger type shot.

Crazy how much the little things stand out on a rewatch. Like Shae telling Tyrion he is still young and dumb

You forget how much the crypts of Winterfell come into play in season 1 (Ned and Robert's talk, the Raven in Bran's dreams always leading him there), and then realize that roughly 85% of the promotional material for the final season revolves around the crypts. Love that sort of continuity when what seems like an innocuous decision early on may come to play a massive role in the end game.

I just thought of something, that shot of Gendry keeps making me think Couldnt Bran just brain-google the forging process for Valyrian Steel?

Off topic from GoT, but I just learned about Yang from his recent interview on Freakonomics. Super interesting guy. Not sure he's who I'd want being the face of the ticket in 2020, but whoever is the nominee should definitely make him a top adviser.

Bran doesn't know everything, he has to know where to look. That's why he wasn't familiar with what Sam was talking about concerning the dragonglass.

True...Maybe it would it be possible for Sam to have read something about ancient Valyrans known for forging steel and maybe pointing Bran to look into the past at that guy's life?

It would solve the lack of Valyrian steel problem, but I guess that's not as big a problem with all the mined dragonglass.

I don’t think he could see things in Essos where there are no weirwoods.

I also just think it would be lame if they all of sudden figure out how to forge valayrian steel for the first time in thousands of years right before they need it.

Aaand I've officially caught up. I really loved how all of the characters finally started meeting towards the end, Jon and Daenyrs is such a great pairing. Overall I'd say my favorite characters are probably Snow, Tyrion, Jaime and Arya, I enjoyed their stories the most usually

I don't want to wait another month to see what happens next, I can't imagine what it was like for everyone else lol. Super glad I finally watched this though, it's not overrated at all, fully lived up to the hype for me
