I was at the bar the other night and the bartender turned down the music and got on mic and announed that it was someone’s birthday. I was upset cause the birthday song is awful and I was not prepared to hear it but instead he requested that on the count of 3, everyone yell, “fuck you!!!” to the birthday person. I assume it was someone he knew really well but it was very nice and brief and I support this tradition.
