UFC prelims did great on ESPN. My memory sucks but pretty sure Meltz said 1.48 million viewers .Way more than what Fox Sports ever gets. Having a prelim main event that is intriguing is probably the main reason for this, plus it's fuckin ESPN

I think if Lewis has continued to work on his cardio since the DC camp, he could keep pace with dos Santos and trade with him.

Anthony Johnson has stated that if Jones moves up to heavyweight, he’ll come out of retirement to fight him at that weight.

Idk if it's been mentioned but I was listening to the latest fight companion and Joe said the Conor/Cowboy fight isnt gonna happen because whoever in the UFC (Dana?) Stated it would have to be a co-main event because it's not for a title. Conor wanted no part of that. Asinine rule anyways which I'm pretty sure is a newer thing .

Idk the validity to it but Joe is pretty reliable and I'm sure he was just reiterating something he read somewhere.

And look, in every sport out there the refs get knocked, I've never seen Herb fuck up like that. I do think he is one of the best. Marc Goddard though? Questionable performance

Herb has screwed up quite in the last 6 months. His late stoppage in Russia was appalling and he let Błachowicz take 10+ too many hammers to the head just a couple weeks ago.

Goddard has gotten an unwarranted amount of praise ever since Conor pushed him during that Bellator show.

  15. Herb has messed up more in the last year than he has in the last like 12 years that I've been watching.

I would still put up him in that top tier though for refs.

I think someone like Frank Trigg has a lot of potential as a ref since he was a really active fighter (Herb was too but not at that level)

I think Robbie is smart enough to know that everyone involved in the situation kind of got a raw deal. Of course all of us (including Herb) wished it wouldn’t have played out like that, but it’s one of those positions that a ref wishes they weren’t put into. Sometimes they clearly fuck up and let guys take too much damage, but other times they’re just set up to fail.

Yeah I don't watch nearly as much fights as some of you guys. I do remember hearing about the late stoppage in Russia. I think the obvious answer though is that there are no perfect officials, you're going to screw up, I can't think of a tougher ref job than a UFC ref, every other sport I watch has replay these days. UFC added that little bit of replay but I don't think that helps a ton. I feel like they use Herb more than anyone else hence the inevitable screw ups.

Lol so now that the fight seems to be slipping past him, cowboy’s starting to talk shit to Mcgregor... kinda seems like Ariel was right and cowboys little temper tantrum he threw about it looks stupid as shit.

Where'd ya see this at? As if I needed more reasoning to not want to see Don fight anymore after that Trump post.

Ahhh I see. Also called him a prima donna. Like come on Cerrone, if you had ever reached the heights that Conor did, you wouldn't be the guy who just "willing to fight anybody" all the time at any slot on a card either.

Ariel is a such hack when he does his talking head act.

This is nuts. The last time Cowboy fought less than three times a year was 2012. He fought twice in two months (much to his own detriment). He's seemingly fought everyone in two divisions. Let's not slander Donald Cerrone the professional fighter. And let's face it, he's not wrong about McGregor.

I'm kinda confused as to what you took from my statement? I'm saying if Don had reached a level at any point in his career regarding pay and popularity as Conor has, he'd expect to be a headliner as well. Him fighting all the time doesn't make him a star or dispute my point, just means Don fights more often.

Conor vs Nate both times were not title matches. They were headliners both times and the draw was insane. Conor is a main event fighter now in his career. Well deserved too. If Don had been more consistent with win streaks, maybe not fought everyone he possibly could, and not gotten popped for PED's he would have pieced together a better record. He's also lost every title fight he's ever had if i'm not mistaken.

In this situation, Conor is A side and he is B side. He is the one asking Conor for it. Conor says sure but only if it's a headliner fight. I think that's pretty fair no?

Conor barely fights and definitely comes off like he thinks he is better than everyone else, he just got destroyed in his last fight and his last win was in 2016.

He should just get in the fucking octagon and win again THEN call your shots. I would definitely call him a diva.

You said he "wouldn't be the guy who just "willing to fight anybody" all the time at any slot on a card either." when that's literally what he's done his entire career. We agree, it's often been to his detriment, but he's not the type of guy to change who he is because he has more success.

Regarding Conor, he's earned the right to bargain for whatever he wants. But don't agree to a fight, hype it up, and then (seemingly) nix it because you're beefing with management.
