One time I did a show and wasn't paying attention and hit my head against my other guitarists's headstock, specifically my eye into the corner of his headstock. I kept playing and finished the song and as soon as we finished the song I started screaming in pain because holy shit.

 

I always thought Dustin just dj'd, now I find out he has a tattoo that says "I love rock n roll" over his heart.

 

This is my worst fear about playing shows with tiny stages, luckily never happened but the stories I hear are brutal

 

I want to get more tattoos.

For me the worst is I get cuts on my hands from working in food service. Sometimes they get on my finger tips and I’ll be playing guitar with my hands and the thin, sharp E string gets caught IN my cut

That’s just oodles of fun and then I gotta clean blood off my guitar and pour burning alcohol in my cut so the rusting metal doesn’t infect it

Actually that's a lie I have once but yeah I'm definitely not a DJ haha

 

I'll never forget seeing Beloved play at a tiny club in Fort Worth that had the smallest stage ever. Three guitarists and the bassist all losing their shit swinging their guitars around while the drummer screamed. I can't believe nobody got eviscerated. It was bad ass.

Would anyone consider getting a team related tattoo ever?

 

For some reason I remember an area of The Door Ft Worth having a ridiculously small stage, did it? I only went there a couple times and only played there once but for some reason I remember there being very limited space

I don’t get how 5-6 piece bands fit on tiny stages haha. Personally my shows are a lot of effort, not having space to move my guitar around a bit makes it really stifling to try to play my songs haha.

I hate when I’m a solo act but the other bands set up their gear behind me so I’m trying not to knock over the drums and I can’t step back at all haha

It's been a long time, but I believe they had a normal stage and crowd space for its' main area, but a very small area for acoustics and whatnot in the back or something. It's been like 15 years though, haha

I’d consider a *tasteful* Jaguars tattoo. Just a small one though. And no particular players, just something general about the team.

Yea, especially when you have egocentric 80s metal dudes in your band who swing around constantly. There's like hardly any room to move around. I understand why bands do choreographed moves because of that.

The worst is when you store all your gear in a room that's down the hall and have to have everyone carry it through the venue and onto the stage. It's awful.

 

I mean they’ve been important to me my whole life. I’ll be a huge Jaguars fan when I’m 70 years old if the NFL isn’t dead by then

 

I'd consider a tattoo of some kind if we won a Super Bowl, but then again I don't think tattoos are sacrosanct so it's not a big deal to have something silly.

 

The closest I would get to getting a team-related tattoo would maybe be something related to Dirk Nowitzki specifically, or Arian Foster specifically. But even then I'd be VERY VERY hesitant about it

 

I've already got my Luka tattoo planned for my ass

 

I just wouldn’t want some dude I’ve never met in my life tattooed on me haha. Jalen Ramsey is a boss and he’s full of great lines I could quote but that’s just a weird thing to put on your body imo haha
