  1. Along the same lines, Dog Soldiers was one of the first movies I wasn't supposed to be watching and it scared the shit out of me

Loved that one back in my teen years. I haven’t rewatched it, heard it doesn’t hold up.

Ginger Snaps and Dog Soldiers are two of my absolute favorite werewolf movies. Both easily top 5.

Darkness falls was one of my favorites as a youth. I have a fear of the dark so anything that plays on that will draw me in. I was always bummed that the lead guy passed away a few years later.

Considering preordering this. It's essentially my adolescence compacted into a documentary.

It used to freak me out cause at first they said it was sleep apnea and that felt creepier to me idk! To die in your sleep so young. But I think they eventually determined it to be an overdose

Watched about 5/6 hours (from part 3D to the end) of the Crystal Lake Memories today on shudder. Really fun stuff.

Also, I’m listening to a Dead Meat podcast on Terrifier and this film sounds absolutely fucking insane. Has anyone else seen this film?

Yeah, I remember really enjoying it until he hung a girl upside down and naked, then cut her in half lengthwise which felt just a touch too far for me, then the rest of the movie was kinda ruined. That scene seems to be the dividing line for a bunch of people.

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

It's an incredibly straight forward slasher and all set up for the gore, which I think is very, very good.

Yeah that’s the scene that once they got to describing I cringed so hard that I had to pause them just talking about it. Can’t imagine how I’d feel actually watching that shit.

I didn’t enjoy terrifier at all but if you’re a fan of horror practical effects, it’ll be right up your alley.

Terrifier was a decent, straight up slasher. Art the Clown has potential to be a pretty big icon. Another frequent poster on here mentioned that the movie seemed pretty hateful towards women, which felt spot on after watching it. I could see the franchise really taking off if you get the writing straightened out.

Might have been me, because that was my main take away from it.
I definitely won't be watching any potential sequels. Aside from his smile, there's nothing to the character/franchise imo.

Yea! I’m pretty sure it was you haha.

Art has that look that has seemed to stick. He’s already popping up in fan art, memes, all kinds of crap. If future films can turn out a half way decent plot that is more than just a vehicle for kill scenes, I think he can last a while. In reality, he’ll probably end up being another Victor Crowley. Someone people deep in the genre will recognize, but normal film goers are clueless of.

It likely won't happen as the writer/director is the same guy on both this and All Hallows Eve.
He's also the sfx and make up artist as well as the editor. :crylaugh:

I'll wait for word of mouth on anything in the future.
