Stuck In Evil Mode For 31 Days Prestigious

Well to be honest, it didn't bother them that a number of small children were gunned down in a school. Why would this change things? Gun control as a concept is dead, has been since the Brady Bill expired.

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

    the US has had:

    elementary school students killed
    high school students killed
    college students killed
    LGBTQ members killed

all with no changes in anything regarding guns. hell, barely even worthwhile conversations from those that need to be involved. i wonder if there is any group that would spur change, but my money is on "not even close".

I'd imagine a mass shooting inside Congress might spur change.

Zero doubt in my mind that any gun nut republican that survives that attack would say "If I would have been allowed to carry my *insert name of gun here*, that wouldn't have happened. I would have been able to save some of my colleagues."

Literally was thinking the same thing. Instead of gun control they would pass a law to allow them to carry guns in federal buildings.

the earth is not a cold dead place.

Only way we're going to start to get anywhere is if we vote these idiots out of office.

it would be wild if Hillary and Bernie could come together and she makes him her VP candidate.

I thought that was possible especially to try and persuade Bernie supporters to vote for her but he isn't on the leaked list of possible VP candidates. Although frankly I don't think Bernie would even want to be her VP

"And a Democratic option that sought to bar all gun sales to those individuals on the terror watch list failed 47-53, the second time the proposal went down to defeat after a mass shooting."

    just blows my fucking mind.

It was good that this didn't get passed, just an awful piece of legislation that would have bolstered the use of this racist, secretive list that violates the due process of those on it all for an incredibly minimal impact on gun violence.

Yeah fuck the terrorist watch list legislation

    Everywhere you look... Prestigious

This is a perfect articulation of why I am against the use of these kinds of lists. Does anyone want a President Trump to be able to put people on lists that remove their constitutional rights?

If you are not ok with your ideological opponents having that power, you shouldn't be ok with those you support having it too.

  21. I think I would rather see Bernie as the new chair of the DNC instead of being Hillary's VP.

This is kind of fucked up thing happens everywhere I don't know what the fix is because large companies hold so much leverage. A huge company located right by me just got a 30 yr. tax free deal on the a new gigantic plant that opened up because they threatened to hop the border 10mins away and go to another state if they didn't get the tax break. The city was to afraid to lose the jobs, which I fully understand and get why they make the deal. So the richest people/company in the area provide nothing in tax dollars to the schools or community.

Every community/state would have to ban together to prevent this and competition for these corporations won't allow for it.

I don't trust the government not abuse the power if given it either. It's tough though because someone who is a legit threat shouldn't be able to acquire a firearm legally. That being said I am with you that is would have a minimal impact - I think anyone that is in the mindset of carrying out a terrorist attack will find away to get the weapon they want. It's a kick in the balls though when we make it too easy.

    I'm Back.

Are you guys AGAINST the sale of guns to people on the terror watch list or for it?

Gun control will never change because of the "does one bad apple spoil the whole bunch?" argument. Congress probably doesn't want to make something illegal for the millions of people purchasing/owning legally/responsibly due to a handful of assholes going nuts once a year or so.
