He is right about one thing ... his slider did suck.

 

It might sound funny, but his slider rate did increase significantly with the Yanks.

 

Guess I'll watch this Atlanta/NY spring training game it sounds like fun to me.

 

I missed the sound of the ball hitting the back of a glove.

I missed the sound of the bat crack, some cheers, and then the throw coming home and the crowd's "ohhhh" as it's perfectly thrown.

I mean it's valid if they for some reason had him throw a ton less sliders on the road where he was actually good

 

I am not sure about that particular split. Nor do I care to argue this whole thing, either way tbh, but I found this fun to look at.

You can see his breaking ball usage went up heavily after July 2017. I wonder if the system has a hard time distinguishing whats a slider and whats a curve from him, since he says his curve usage dropped, but not according to these graphs.

Watching Aaron Judge crank homers will never not be very fun to watch.

 

Haha I'm not arguing either, I'm sure he threw more sliders if that's what he says. But it's not like sliders were his only problem, and I feel like in general the league has gone way up in slider or breaking pitch usage. Idk it's not like I'm going to go to great lengths to dispute what he says so it's whatever lol. I still think mostly NY just wasn't for him.

I don't think there's much separation between the three teams. Depends on how much you think Milwaukee regresses this yr

 

This is also true, the potential log jam for both WC spots will be fun as well.
