Wow, they're really upping the camp level. Critters 2: The Main Course remains my favorite

  3. I've only seen the first one but it's about time for a rewatch

  4. At least they're still using practical effects. Probably the only thing that series has going for it tbh

It's weird how Leo DiCaprio and Angela Bassett have been in Critters movies

LOL, apparently Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff wrote a song hoping it'd be on a Nightmare on Elm Street soundtrack but they turned them down

Critters was a lot of fun for me as a kid. Hoping this new one will be campy and awesome.

Watching The Exorcist for the whateverth time and I still just can’t put into words how much I love Ellen Burstyn in this film. I wish more of the popular discussion was centered around her role as a mother and a woman in it. It never gets any less powerful.

I was just reading an article about it, getting hyped. Gasper Noe is a wild director. Bloody Disgusting writer was saying this is his best film to date. High praise imo.

    Climax is an incredible experience

I felt legitimately queasy for the entire second half, not because of content (it’s tame by his standards) but the atmosphere/way it’s shot unnerved me in a very visceral way

    It’s so good

    This is my design

I've been watching a lot of horror this past week. Watched Climax, The Houses October Built 1 & 2, The Ritual, most of the Into the Dark series, and Don't Knock Twice.

I caught Greta in theaters with a friend this past Saturday. I'm gonna be honest, it's not that bad and is also the first Chloe Moretz horror movie I didn't hate. However, there are a few moments where she is doing things that made me scream "what are you thinking?" inside.

Borrows elements of Misery, and the woman who played Greta which i'm not familiar with killed it.

Not at all. I read through a ton of Letterboxd reviews and my rating would easily be the lowest one, haha. Don’t let that stop you, though, maybe I’m the weirdo.

I checked this out today. I did not enjoy it haha. I must have a mirrored opinion than you. I’ve loved almost all of Moretz’s horror work. I thought her performance in this one was pretty painful. Possibly a product of pretty weak dialogue. I’m also a big fan of Maika Monroe, but fuck she had nothing to work with in this one. Overall a pretty big let down for me.

I do agree the woman who played Greta was a silver lining. She did a great job.

I just started listening to their podcasts over the weekend. Good stuff, although James can be a tool sometimes haha

Yeah I mean, I’m not blown away by it which is why I sat “not that bad.” Certainly wouldn’t label it great, but I went in with worse expectations. The best friend is the best part of the movie and had the best dialogue easily.
