I just discovered the band Sparkmarker this morning. They’re one of the closest things to Quicksand that I’ve found. So stoked on this stuff!

Another band that’s very similar to Quicksand: Fireside. Specifically their album Do Not Tailgate.

 

Candy and Judge are opening the show here in a couple weeks. Hoping I can afford tickets.

 

Watched the Judge documentary on YouTube last night and wound up copping those tickets. Can't risk a sell out.

Have Heart will announce a couple more shows in huge venues in a few hours. A local promoter tried to get them to come to my town but they were looking for biiiiiig venues that simply do not exist in Paris.

 

these just more european dates or did you hear anything about any additional us dates?

 

I didn't hear anything about the US from my contacts, but it's highly unlikely that we yuros would get a special treatment. I'm 99% sure that they will announce new US shows.

We missed out on a french show and they will play at least one more german date. This, I know for sure.

I also heard that there would be a second UK show, but this is just a rumour.

 

Idk why everyone is freaking out so hard, there's no way they don't play more shows after these. If they break the "we're never getting back together" thing, whose to say they won't break the only X amount of shows thing too.

 

I mean. If you listened to the ATG episode with Pat, he was pretty damn explicit about them only doing 4 shows on there. Given his track record, I'm inclined to believe the words coming straight from the horse's mouth. The fact that they're supposedly playing shows beyond the 4 they've announced is exciting to me because I couldn't make either of the US dates they announced due to family commitments so anything additional on the East Coast beyond the 7.5 date is exciting for me.

Especially because I likely won't be able to travel on a whim out of state for shows for the next few years with some impending changes that are on the way in my personal life.

 

I haven't listened, but they were pretty explicit that they were done forever when they broke up too. I'm not saying that they already have more shit planned or anything like that tho. I would bet good money that they play again after this run.

Is it fucked up of me if I try and get an LA ticket despite already having my weekend pass for S/F?

 

I mean that’s kind of the reason they added a second LA show. So more people could go to S&F

This show is kind of a big deal.

 

Nothing wrong with it, imo. I already have tickets for the first Boston show, but if I can get tickets for the 2nd too, it'll make the trip that much more worth it.

edit: However, if I do get tickets to the 2nd show, and someone in this thread who wanted them does not, I will sell them to you at face value.
