    I'm Back.

I have a strong feeling that the 7 kingdoms will end up uniting to face the Walkers and there will be no actual King/Queen on the Iron Throne...if King's Landing even exists after the finale.

They were all imprisoned, much like Dany did to her dragons at first . The dragons started to become smaller and deformed as a result and eventually died out.

Wonder how they were imprisoned if they were on the offensive like last night's episode.

    so much for them! Prestigious

also a good amount of them died in the dance of dragons which was a targaryen civil war which had dragons against dragons.

I don't see how Sansa isn't pregnant but with the Boltons out of power does it even matter?

Edit: Relating to the line of succession, that is. Obviously it is important to Sansa's character arc

Other than the Thronesian irony it would give to her last words to Ramsey, what evidence is there that she's pregnant?

"your house will be forgotten, your name will be forgotten" etc. pretty clearly indicates to me she isn't pregnant.

Potentially, as of that battle, up to three ancient Northern houses no longer exist: Bolton, Umber, and Karstark.

umbers and karstarks almost certainly still exist and will bend the knee to sansa and jon. there are practically guaranteed to be heirs of smalljon and the karstark

One way I interpreted Sansa not telling Jon about the Knights of the Vale was the element of surprise. If Jon didn't know then there's no way Ramsay would find out. I think if Ramsay knew Jon had X amount of knights on the way he would have planned differently. Maybe he wouldn't have fought in the field at all. So Sansa was willing to risk a lot of men, even Jon himself, in order to have that Gandalf moment and surprise Ramsay. Ooooor maybe she just didn't want to cause she didn't want to.

Yeah I assume there's both Umber and Karstark uncles/aunts/neices/nephews/cousins somewhere, since we didn't get their family fleshed out at all. Roose, on the other hand, seemed to be the only surviving Bolton and Ramsay his only living heir.

  12. I just took it as literally as possible in that Sansa sent Littlefinger the help letter, Littlefinger rushed back north with the KOTV, and they just happened to arrive in time to save the day. I don't think Sansa knew for sure if the KOTV were even coming to help, but she was hoping for it. That's why she wanted Jon to wait, but also probably didn't want to get his hopes up in case they weren't coming. Jon was adamant about the battle taking place at that moment, so Sansa was probably thinking that the KOTV weren't coming to help since Littlefinger presumably didn't reply to her letter (had he sent a raven back then the likelihood of no one else in the camp knowing about the KOTV is very slim). I highly doubt they were just hiding over the hillside waiting for the right moment, especially when that right moment probably would've been when Jon was out there all alone with the Bolton cavalry coming towards him, or when the whole wildling army was first encircled.

Majority of the dragons died in battle in The Dance of Dragons (Targaryen civil war) that took place almost 170 years before the timeline the series is in. There were 20 before the war, and only 4 survived the war. The one dragon that was born after the war and ended up being the last dragon was small and disfigured and laid eggs that never hatched.

There is a theory that is presented in the books that the dragons went extinct as result of a vast conspiracy organized by the order of the Maesters in order to further their secret agenda of ridding the world of magic.

    Gotcha.

Still excited to see whenever the hell Dany gets to King's Landing.

I'm surprised there weren't any complaints of seeing Dany mount Drogon this time around, given it wasn't nearly as bad as when she first did it back in Season 4 or was it 5? You could tell they bumped up the CGI from her mounting him to the green screen effects because it didn't look bad at all.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think the batting average is for all of the theories that people come up with in here?

    I'm Back.

    .200 at best.

Most theories aren't even "theories" but rather just something fans want to see. Like the Clegane Bowl...literally nothing leads up to this, not in the books or the show. Yea, in the books we get more of a glimpse into someone who MIGHT be the Hound, but in the show there is no connection between the Hound and the Faith militant.

Speaking of the Maester Conspiracy, we're probably going to get Archmaester Marwyn in the Sam/Gilly arc soon right or are they going to skip him in the tv series?

Aren't the Faceless Men involved in this conspiracy?

  22. It's pretty cool that Jon is dressing like his pops Eddard, but I miss his Lord Commander outfit.

  23. Overall I found it difficult to find the battle "enjoyable" because it felt so visceral. Whereas the battle at the wall (probably my favorite of the series) felt more Hollywood action.

This one reminded me of watching Braveheart all those years ago. That's not a bad thing, necessarily. It's also tough for me to go back and watch Oberyn's trial by combat because of that grisly end.
