Oh, I don't doubt that. I can't think of another main eventer I'm just completely apathetic towards outside of Ambrose. Nothing about him is appealing; his ring work is solid but feels too plodding for some reason, his promos don't draw me in and his look is forgettable. I do not get it.

 

I'm not going to complain about Ambrose being the champ when he has a ton of fans and we're coming off a Roman reign, but I've definitely cooled on Ambrose a lot. Hopefully he gets a decent run (although I kind of doubt it and expect him to lose at SS) and impresses me.

 

Watch him lose the belt tonight lol

That was fantastic.

 

As lackluster as Ambrose has been, getting the belt could revitalize him. He was good last Monday. Tonight will be telling.

 

It's not like Ambrose hasn't been great in the past. The biggest problem with Dean has always been his booking, which guess what, just got "fixed".

 

I don't think there's been a point for me where Dean has been great since the shield split.

 

Dean against HHH was great. He was that nice mix of unhinged yet plotting. And the match itself was great.

Wish they had never done the Brock/WM thing, cause that killed a lot of his character development

 

Dean is great when his stories get focus. He'll be fine and probably do very well if they don't constantly beat him as champion

 

MITB ladder match is alright, but i kind of just want to watch the New Japan IC title ladder match again though.

I wish it getting as much attention as the Ricochet/Ospreay match did, because it really deserves to be seen by as many wrestling fans as possible. I'd argue it was one of the best ladder matches in a major promotion in years. Them doing it infront of a crowd that was not used to ladder matches made it come off almost magical, they were going insane for classic ladder spots western fans have grown accustom to.

i actually completely agree with this. You had THREE!! '2016 version jobber matches' (Rusev/Titus, Corbin/Ziggler, crews/Sheamus). They're not jobber matches persay, but the intent of all these matches and feuds are painfully obvious, and worst of all, not entertaining. No one gives a shit about Ziggler anymore, people continue to not give a shit about sheamus, and titus o'neil? yeah okay. The tag match wasn't as great as one would think, the women's tag match was a raw match, and then yea i agree on the rest of your points. Aj/Cena was fine, but I agree, the ending left such a bland taste in my mouth. The Mitb match was solid, nothing wrong with it. And the Regins/Rollins match was good, with obviously a GREAT ending.

Ambrose leaving as champ is so fucking awesome. Some might say it's too little too late....i think they JUST made it before it got to that point. If the WWE was a smart company and had actually planned this out, I would've liked a "stronger/tougher Ambrose" coming into the MitB match.
