Yeah I mean I agree with you there and I also don’t agree with the school shooting pro 2A stuff he’s said/done. I guess I just understand his position *enough* that it doesn’t turn me off from his music/show

I want to, it’s been on my list for a while now but damn that is quite the film to want to take on (I mean obviously you have to be in the ‘right’ kind of mood to watch something so depressing)

 

The point as I have heard it isn't that people of color owning guns protects them from cops, it's for them to defend themselves in situations in which police will only make it worse (which is always) and it's best to not even call them at all because there's a very high likely hood that they end up shooting at least someone if not multiple people involved.

And I understand his concern for gun control because the first real big movement for gun control was pushed by the NRA to confiscate guns from the Black Panthers and other similar groups. Plus it's almost guaranteed that the way strict gun control will be enacted will disproportionately affect them as well while white school shooters will continue to pass through whatever system would be in place.

 

Yeah this is the take I have on it. Gun control is not an issue I feel like I have a good take on, I feel like it's something I need to critically think about more in terms of implementation (I obviously believe we should do more). But THIS take, I 100% agree with and we all know would happen.

 

Time to go to the doctor and feel awkward telling them my symptoms

Gun control is something I can only approach emotionally and not logically, and emotionally I want to throw every gun in the toilet especially cop's guns

 

I'm sort of on the fence about gun control, I get what Dylan is saying and it is for sure true. It's just that we are basically the only country that deals with this, especially at such a large and constant level. There's a lot to be done, and that things like assault rifles are absolutely unnecessary for personal protection.

 

I think for adequate gun control the US needs to ban all men

 

Not to say I don't think some form of gun control should happen. I'm just inherently skeptical of reactionary politics

 

I don't like guns.

But for real, I know nothing about the gun laws or guns, so I'll sit this one out and...watch/listen.

I have friends that carry guns. Cops in my family. Guy I used to date was an under cover detective. Even seeing one in its case makes me uncomfortable. I think death scares me most and guns kill...so there we have it.
