all I have to say is support local Mexican places and gentrification is the worst tbh.

 

I enjoy Chipotle and it's very vegetarian accessible, but yeah if you have the option it's better to support an independently owned Mexican place obv

 

Yeah i'd imagine ultimately the boardwalk will be renovated. I havent been, last time I was there was in 06 and it was an absolute dump

One day I want to go to Asbury, solely to go see a Gaslight Anthem show whenever they decide to do another one

 

Yet, they all went out of business in my area

Someone could correct me if i'm wrong, but I wouldn't consider Asbury Park gentrified. As Ken noted, it's still not very nice, and the crowd that has actually taken over that city is the LGBTQ community which is really cool.
