Matt's singing is certainly not perfect, but 99% of the songs they're playing were written with someone else's vocal range in mind. That's why he sounds totally great on some songs but a little rough on others. It's to be expected, and I imagine the new stuff will sound great because it was all written with his voice in mind.

 

Don't know why I am so excited to hear this, I haven't liked any of the songs released so far. But dammit, I am excited anyways lol

 

Pop punk vocalists aren't really known for their "good" voices anyway, at least not back when Blink was at their height. I never had a problem with either of their voices, by the way.

I've always said that Alkaline Trio was like a dark version of Blink; and Matt and Dan both have unique voices too, so it kind of makes sense.

Plenty of other singers use it live, even people with incredible voices, but you wouldn't know it because they don't use it as a crutch.

 

People on reddit/blink forums are stunned that the album hasn't leaked considering these photos today. C'mon. Just because there are some CDs in a warehouse doesn't mean that someone is uploading the album publicly in a matter of hours. I'd bet that most of the time, assuming someone even took a copy, they're sharing it with friends first. Eventually, the web of sharing leaks. But I would never have expected that process to be over and done with in a matter of hours.

When the singers voices of a pop-punk band are the most common thing to nitpick that tells me people are reaaallyy reaching and it's basically just a compliment that they sound good. Which they of course would refuse to admit lol. Bcuz +44 featuring Matt Skiba dis isnt blinkkkkk

Goddamnit I loved that song. His live performance how he's really "putting it on" in terms of "lazy mouth" is kind of annoying, though. I don't hear the pitch correction in this, except maybe in one of the "there is" parts.

Scrutinizing every aspect of blink just gets so exhausting. Lol like if you can't admit that was the best blink has sounded in like 15 years at least, I feel bad for you. And I personally wasn't really a fan of when they played everything waaayy too fast back when Tom was still passable live.

 

I think I'm one of the few who preferred Scott on drums.

 

The BDT music video is decent. The performance/crowd shots were actually done pretty well, but the high school skate punk kid hanging out with friends is overdone.
