  4. First I'm hearing of it. Major yikes that this is the first thing that comes up on twitter if it's true:

Here's a link to the twitter account with more information. It was posted anonymously for the sake of the victims privacy.

TMP always seemed like such a positive force in the scene, too. You really just never know.

  7. Yeah TMP was the last band I would have expected just based on their past.

Although, then again, it is a band full of white dudes.

I wonder if the band is aware of the allegations and if so if they will comment on them.

I’ve seen that tweet posted in a couple places. If they don’t already, they will.

I don’t know why they wouldn’t. Almost every band does, for better or worse (usually worse), except ones that are absurdly big

  14. I hope they do. Just... my expectations for actual accountability are so low they may as well be subterranean rn

I am very curious to see how it is going to play out if Ryan Adams goes ahead with his scheduled UK tour and actually takes the stage in Dublin... I imagine there will be protests and hecklers which I cannot see going well given how he's historically handled himself on stage.

His estate is trembling. Tbh the doc wouldn't even be much on my radar but they are making me more aware of it and just more inclined to believe whatever its gonna say given all the push back

Yeah, I remember when that came out. He's a piece of shit. When the T-Pain album came out I actually had to double check it wasn't him before I checked it out.

Well I WOULD read the article if I hadn't reached my monthly article limit. :) I'll read it later when I can do so "incognito." Wikipedia has what appears to be a good summary of the movie and critical reviews: Leaving Neverland: Michael Jackson and Me - Wikipedia

I will watch this, but just like I felt watching Surviving R Kelly, I think the documentary's focus on these victims makes it harder to give significant attention to Michael's team of defenders and enablers, without whom Michael wouldn't have been able to get away with as much as he apparently did.

But if they did so, documentaries like this and coverage of them would be much more exposed to libel suits, criticizing non-public figures for whom involvement is less well known. It's much safer and profitable to focus on the alleged perp, the victim(s), and the artists who woulda/shoulda gotten more attention if the spotlight then and now wasn't on Michael Jackson.
