I have a filter IRL and I tend to turn that filter off online. Hence my several paragraph shitposts. I don't actually need to talk for paragraphs at length in a social setting haha.

Also you've seen me at my worst, as my roommate, a coworker at a stressful job, and as a close friend who has challenged me to address my flaws. But that's not a fair representation of how I would act around casual friends.

 

Meeting online friends in real life can be so awkward. I'm at about 50/50 so far...

Scrubs is good, but definitely inconsistent in the late/mid seasons. For some reason everyone let Zach Braff think he could be a writer/director though and that was a bad route for him.

 

Well yes but there arent exactly a plethora of us in Montana

I guess that's true haha but also keep in mind that you and Chrystal are both very very low key introverts haha, so by comparison my energy seems a lot less ordinary.

Yeah but Zach Braff going down that career path just makes so much sense haha. He was the poster boy of unexciting white dudes for a little bit

All the times I've met someone have been pretty solid

 

I never got the hype for Garden State. Thought it was cheesy and boring as hell since it came out.

 

Hard pass. Watching the Super Bowl from there was enough for me for the year.

 

Why's that? Just curious

 

I kid on Atlanta being horrible, but this was probably the worst Super Bowl to watch.

I still wouldn't want to live there. Unlike Fournette, I like my winters.

I'd like winter if I could have one week on, one week off. Or if it was only a month and a half long total. It's the 4 months / 5 months straight of freezing cold where i get really tired of it.

 

He’s a likable white guy who isn’t impossibly Hollywood handsome and had good taste in music, so I get why a lot of people (myself included) identified with Scrubs and Garden State. The only problem was the movie isn’t actually good. He’s talented in front of and behind the camera but tried to be some pure unfiltered auteur, which he is nowhere near good enough to pull off. Wish I Was Here is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I’d love to see him show up in like, Mike Judge/Joe Swanberg/Duplass brothers movies/shows as an actor. That scene/aesthetic could be a decent fit for him.

 

Dude yes, Swanberg would work really great for him. Wes Anderson too. I liked him on Scrubs but Garden State and Wish You Were Here really were that bad haha

 

Dude, I don't even need to watch TV. I could chew popcorn just watching @CarpetElf & @Nathan summarize characters & plotlines and all their flaws and treat it like Sparknotes

 

I've never understood the cult following of Garden State either
