"View from our Bedroom Window" is the shit, absolutely love it. First 4 Tracks of this rip as well, only thing I'm not feeling is "In Northern Michigan" out of all of this. This hit me immediately so much harder than Rooms of the House, but hope it has a lasting impact.

I broke my chorus hiatus to come here and say that this record is amazing. Super immediate for me. Love it as much as ROTH which i absolutely love.

was going to go to bed but ive listened to this twice now and cant stop. im fascinated to find out what the narrative is and what these words all mean

Are there lyrics anywhere? I listened once but feels like I'm not getting the proper experience without the lyrics.

 

Well if the mix is anything like mwY’s Untitled I’ll love it. Aaron’s vox were also pretty down in the mix, and it worked perfectly.

 

yeah the lyrics are going to take this even further but from what im catching its already forming an interesting narrative. i know the idea of the album is that all of these songs take place on the route Jordan and his partner would take on the way back to their home and that at varying times people have died around on or near this route but its hard to get a full dare i say panoramic shot of whats happening for now

 

I feel bad it leaked like a month in advance. Must be devastating for musicians.

the record was originally supposed to come out on 1/19, got delayed because of epitaph bs. same thing that happened to that last menzingers record.

Closer is a bit disappointing, it's good, but not at the highs of a bunch of the other songs.

 

I disagree I love how it shows restraint but still feels super emotional

 

loved the whole thing, there wasn't a track that I wasn't into to. It's still really dynamic but when it goes off it goes off hard, gets really heavy. I love those moments. I don't really understand the mix yet, there's a lot of cool ideas in there but you can tell he's keeping it sort of empty sounding until the BIG moments, but it makes the BIG moments sound bigger.

 

I just kept waiting for it to pop off and it didn't, as a 7 minute track I wish it showed more dynamism in that department, but it's a good track regardless.

 

I think that’s sort of the point, if it goes off, it’s almost too predictable IMO

 

It makes sense, a lot of the album goes off so to have that slow point at the end is a good change of pace. Threw me off though. Only heard it one time through so I'm sure my opinion will change.
